Association for Progressive Communications

APC is an international network of civil society organisations dedicated to empowering and supporting groups and individuals through the strategic use of information and communication technologies (ICTs), especially Internet-related technologies.



APC Action Applications is an Open Source Software CMS that specialises in ease of updating content, simple integration with static website designs, and content pooling between websites. For examples of websites produced by this system see:


Appropriate Software Foundation

The ASF are a specialist design consultancy working mainly with international NGOs. The ASF exists to innovate appropriate solutions for informational concerns within participatory social development.



The Appropriate Website Factory is engineered with a participatory design approach, which combined with a set of process-specific guidelines, enables NGOs with minimal computing resources to build impressive websites.


Media Jumpstart

We are a non-profit, worker-run collective, dedicated to strengthening the impact of New York City non-profit organizations working for social change.



We sponsor the development of the Pagetool content management system.


OpenConcept Consulting

Our team develops customized Open Source Web Applications for Social Change. We work with NGOs, unions and progressive businesses to build dynamic tools that meet their needs.



Our main Content Management tool we are developing within the Open Source Community is Back-End.org. We are also expecting to integrate a number of campaign tools that we have developed into this application. For examples of websites produced by this system see:
